Some ads have a longer lifetime and they stay in our memory for years after they were aired.These days ads that effectively combine social messages with the information of the product they are promoting,seem to have a hold on audience.FOR INSTANCE-We have 2 little boys from hostile neighbourhoods separated by a barbed wire playing football in an ad for mobile service provider and the tagline is "duriyan mit jayegi".
Similiarly,Abhishek Bachchan promotes a communal harmony and also espouses education for the underprivileged in a mobile service provider ad and the tagline is " What an idea". Then there is a company which manufactures cement apart from other things which incorporates the idea of respect for those who teach and mentor us in the ad for the cement.
Thus, most of the ad-man feel that these social ads are a positive step
